A Peek at Pink Mafia

A Peek at Pink Mafia

Stefanie Grant-Cassel

It's the last day of Perfume June and I've come to the very end of my list, alphabetically, I mean...
Last but not least, let's take a peek at Pink Mafia!
Official description:
WHEN PINK IS A LIFESTYLE CHOICE. Refreshing, crisp pink grapefruit mixes beautifully with sweet, floral rose, and the pair is grounded by earthy, green violet, with a little kick of spicy black pepper. It smells like, well… pink! And a little green, thanks to the violet. And warm, thanks to the pepper. It's uplifting, energizing, sophisticated… wear it every day, like your favorite neutral. I mean… pink is a neutral, right?!
How it got its name:
I was going for something that was unapologetically feminine and floral, but not too sweet. This scent has a little unusual kick to it, and I think the name fits it just perfectly.
What it's made of:
pink grapefruit oil, rose absolute, (centifolia) violet leaf absolute, black pepper oil
Light to bright yellow, depending on how orange my current lot of rose absolute looks.
Very light. There's shouldn't be any sediment in the roll on or spray.
Top notes:
fresh, zesty, sweet citrus grapefruit and bright rose
Middle notes:
warm, earthy spicy black pepper and grassy green violet leaf
Base notes:
sweet, delicate floral rose with subtle green violet leaf undertones
Aromatherapy benefits:
This is a power fragrance. It's spicy, uplifting, energizing, and bold, yet bright and cheery. Violet leaf is said to help overcome shyness, so this is something you can wear whenever you need a boost or help honoring your heart and standing up for yourself.
Pairs well with:
Blissed, Florcore, Goddess
Give it your own unique twist by adding:
bergamot, lemon, lime, neroli, vanilla, chamomile, jasmine, ginger, patchouli, vetiver, sandalwood, cedar wood, lavender, frankincense, geranium, eucalyptus, basil, rosemary, peppermint
Staying power:
Great! The violet leaf acts as a fixative in this scent. Violet leaf is a really interesting smell that goes on smelling like fresh cut grass and fades into something more sweet, delicate, and floral as it wears. If you think this scent is a bit too fresh and zesty at first, you might actually like it more as the day goes on.
