Everything you've ever wanted to know about Nasty Woman: The fragrance!
Official description:
SMELL. LIKE. A. BOSS. This fresh, woodsy blend of frankincense, lavender, patchouli, and cedarwood will keep you grounded and calm no matter what ridiculious, baseless insults are hurled your way. It smells like, getting sh*t done. It smells like, the freedom to make your own healthcare decisions. It smells like, bringing home the tempeh bacon and frying it in a pan. (Not really... it actually smells like a sweet, herbal, slightly earthy blend of essential oils. And victory.) Nasty women, unite!
How it got its name:
I actually did not just slap a bunch of random stuff together to hop on the #nastywoman train. This is the exact blend of oils that I was wearing while watching the 2016 presidential debates in an attempt to stay calm. I don't think it's any big surprise that I am and was a HUGE fan of Hillary Clinton, but a lesser known fact is that I'm also a survivor of domestic abuse. I experienced a lot of stress (which I'm still figuring out how to manage, seeing as how things turned out) watching Drumpf's horrendously offensive behavior throughout the election process (and always.) At the same time, I was so inspired by the way HRC carried herself (The intellect! The poise! The laugh! The SHIMMY!) that I had to keep watching. The "such a nasty woman" comment resonated with me so deeply. I just knew that I had to do something for every woman who's been called an ugly name for no reason. Or, you know, just because she actually is a hell of a lot smarter and more accomplished than the man she's up against...
Of course at the time I was hopeful that justice would prevail and this would just be a big, funny f-you to misogynistic dinosaurs who were on the way out with our new brilliant female president. But... sigh...
All I can say is that the response to this perfume has meant the WORLD to me. It's my top selling fragrance. Whenever I'm feeling down, thinking about how many women are out there wearing this always brings a little smile to my face. Especially knowing how many local ladies are rocking it around this ridiculously red state. And if you're feeling down, know that out of the 15 different fragrances I sell, this one beats them all by a landslide. And you also may want to get some... for the aromatherapy benefits. ;)
