scent families: amber, woods, green, floral, spice, moss, earth

appropriate seasons: fall, winter, summer if you're hard core...

top notes: pine, basil

middle notes: jasmine, spices

base notes: amber, oakmoss, patchouli

smells like: A journey through a magical forest.

First, it is resinous, green, and forrest-y with slightly musty, damp undertones.

Next, a rich sweetness and warmth overtake the top notes. The heart of this scent is confident, sensual, sparkling, and somewhat powdery, in the most elegant way. It's technically floral, but only slightly. The overall effect is warm, spicy, and autumnal.

A deep, woody, mossy, somewhat dirty, but smooth base is what lingers on your skin at the end of the journey. It's a forest floor strewn with decaying leaves, mystery, and magic.

strength and wear time:

Strong, long wearing. Top notes will be noticeable for 10-30 minutes, middle notes for a few hours, and if you're sensitive you'll still smell the oakmoss on your skin the next day.

100% botanical ingredients:

fragrance blend: pine essential oil, basil essential oil, frankincense essential oil, jasmine absolute, clove essential oil, clary sage essential oil, cardamom CO2, oak moss absolute, patchouli essential oil, benzoin essential oil, labdanum absolute, vanilla CO2, violet leaf absolute, balsam fir absolute, fractionated coconut oil

base: organic grape spirits

Perfumer's note 2026: Dark Woods was the first fine fragrance I designed and released circa 2017. With my most recent rebrand, I've given this scent a refresh too. I've boosted the middle notes, reduced the oakmoss, and added balsam fir absolute to sweeten and round out the sharp pine notes at the top. I think fans of this scent will enjoy the update, but try a sample if you're unsure.

I've also removed the oil-based roll-on option. I don't feel that oil is the appropriate base for these intricate designs. The organic alcohol base allows for a sharper presentation of the more delicate notes, while better diffusing the scent for stronger sillage.

If you're looking for oil-based roll-on fragrances, please explore my Nostalgia Collection. The Deep-Cuts Club often has oil-based roll-on options too!

Sales & Promotions

Sales are rare but do happen occasionally. I've always strived to keep my products as affordable as possible, but the ingredients inside these unassuming little bottles are very precious, and very expensive.

Natural, organic, artisan-crafted perfume is a luxury item. My one-and-only mission is to make something beautiful that touches your heart.

Everything on this website is handmade by me as a labor of love during evenings and weekends, after working a demanding full-time day job as a legal assistant. (I'm also currently in school, earning a second degree in Paralegal Studies.) I price my products using a standard retail markup on the cost of the materials, excluding the cost of my labor. I make just enough to sustain this hobby - to cover the costs of running this website and to buy more ingredients to dream up new natural delights to share with you.

If you enjoy my fragrances and find that they make your life more magical, I hope you can indulge a bit without having to wait. (I recommend using the pay-in-4 interest-free installment plan provided by Shopify!)

Discontinued Products

Why did you stop making my favorite product?

Sorry. I do routinely edit my collection to streamline and make room for new ideas.

Retired/archived fragrances are available in limited edition batches via the Deep Cuts Club. Keep an eye on your inbox to see the scent of the month so you can stock up on your favorite when it comes back around!

But can you make it for me now anyway, as a favor?

Unfortunately there isn't time for that given my current schedule.

But... the skincare too?!

Yeah, no. I loved making and sharing healthy, effective skin and body care products with you, but unfortunately people stopped buying enough for me to continue.

Be sure to subscribe and keep an eye on your inbox to receive updates in the event that I am able to release a limited edition batch of skin care, body butter, or makeup.

Product Reviews

How can I leave a review?

Aw, thanks! But that's not necessary - I only share my best work and stand behind the quality of all my products. The best positive feedback that you can give me is a repeat purchase.

If you want to nerd-out and gush over fragrance notes, check out online fragrance forums like Frangrantica, Basenotes or Parfumo.

And, if you have negative things to say about me and my work, I'll direct you to Reddit, where I'm sure you'll be welcome to party with all the other internet haters.

Please also keep in mind that buying a sample first is A) my store policy and B) the best way to prevent buyers remorse.

More Perfume Information

Are all of your ingredients organic?

No, everything is all-natural and 100% botanical based but some of the more obscure ingredients aren’t available as an organically grown option. (And in some instances the conventionally grown ingredient smells better!)

The oil and alcohol perfume bases are organic.

How do you ensure your ingredients are sustainable and child labor free?

I source from reputable, responsible, cruelty-free suppliers, whom I’ve come to trust to provide me with the highest quality ingredients available over my past decade as a natural perfumer. If you would like to vet them yourself, feel free to do so. My main supplier is Eden’s Botanicals, and I also have some ingredients from Organic Infusions, Lotus Garden, and Aftlier Perfumes.

Which is better? Oil, alcohol, or solid perfume?

There isn’t one better option. They each have pros and cons. To keep it simple, I've made the Nostalgia Collection fragrances all oil based roll-ons (this is the most popular preference,) while the other fragrances are all alcohol based sprays, as that is my personal preference. PS: It is a myth that oil-based or solid fragrances last longer.

So how do I use these, do I need to mix them in anything?

No, these perfumes are full-strength EDP (Eau de Parfum) concentrations, and ready to wear as-is. Mixing your perfume into a carrier oil or other moisturizer will only dilute the fragrance, making it less strong and long wearing.

If you're struggling to smell or find that you go nose blind to these scents quickly, understand that 100% natural fragrances are lighter, and can easily be overwhelmed by strongly scented laundry detergents, hand soaps, lotions, etc., Consider switching to unscented (or naturally scented) products to A) re-train your nose and B) ensure that your natural Twinkle perfume shines through.

Which of your fragrances are more masculine or suitable for men?

Everything here is gender-neutral. Read through the descriptions and try a sample of anything that sounds good to you.

What if I get a rash?

Stop using the product and make a note of all of the ingredients listed for future reference. I cannot be responsible for everyone’s allergies and do not offer refunds. Always start with a sample first.

I’m pregnant, which of your perfumes should I avoid?

Congratulations! That is a question for a doctor, not a perfumer.
