Welcome to Twinkle Apothecary. I'm so glad you found my shop!
I'm Stefanie - I am the owner/creator/one-and-only person behind this website and all of the Twinkle Apothecary brand products. I'm writing this blog post to give you some tips and tricks on how to make the most of your twinkle shopping experience!
There are 3 ways to shop my store.
The website, the mobile app, and the brick and mortar shop in Oklahoma City.
Let's start with the website.
twinkleapothecary.com is how this all began back in October 2015. Assuming you have access to a computer and and aren't in Oklahoma City, I think this is the best way to shop my store. I realize that most of you are on your phone, which is why I have a mobile app, but more on that later... (keep scrolling.)
Anyway, the website. Here's a peek at my homepage:
On the homepage, underneath the banner images, you'll see a rotating collection of featured products that I update once or twice a week just to keep it fresh. Underneath that, you'll see my featured collections: Makeup, Skincare, Perfume, Body Care, Hair Care, and Beauty Tools. NOTE! There are even more collections under "catalog+" in the left menu - just click on the "+" to expand the menu and see all of the collections:
If you think that the product you're looking for is in one of those collections, click on it to view the entire collection. (Not above... that's just a screenshot. Look to the left of the screen for the actual menu!) Note that there may be more than one page for the collection, so be sure to check the second page if you don't see what you're looking for at first glance!
But say you don't have time to look a whole page (or two) of products. No worries! At the top of the page, there are two drop down menus:
"Filter by" and "Sort by"
Click on "Filter by" to see all of the options - the products are tagged and categorized so that when you click on one of the options, you'll see all of the products that correspond with that option. (Options include everything from the brand, material, corresponding skin type... even the product name!)
Or say you just want to browse the collection. You can sort by best selling (great if you're shopping for someone else and not sure what they'll like) alphabetically, price, and date of release (awesome if you're like, "oh what's that new thing Stefanie just posted about on social media??")
This search technique also works for the full collection. Click on the word "catalog" in the left menu to see all 7 pages of my products listed in alphabetical order by default. You can filter by scent profile (herbal, floral, earthy, sweet, fruity, woodsy, spicy - also noted in emojis in the product title 🍃🌸🍂🍦🍊🌲🔥) brand, material, skin type, collection... pretty much anything you can think of is all right there!
Here, I've sorted by "best selling" so you can see what my top 4 products are. Handy, right?
But say you just want to cut to the chase.
Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page to find the search bar.
It's on every page, underneath the instagram feed. (Hi, yes I post a lot of selfies because I can't afford models but also because I get really excited about my products and want to show everyone why they're awesome! 👋🏼)
Type in whatever it is you're looking for:
Press the little magnifying glass...
The best part about this is that it also includes my blog posts, which is where I provide a tonnnn of free advice - so not only will you find what you're looking for, but you'll learn how to use it too.
You're feeling smarter already, aren't you? 😉
But, you don't actually have to find a blog post to learn how to use a product. Everything is right there in the product listing!
Let's use my top selling product, the Exfoliating Facial Cleanser + Mask, as an example. Here's what the description looks like by default on the product page:
Every product listing has the same format. "About" which is an overview of the key benefits/ingredients, "Instructions" tells you how to use it, "Ingredients" lists the full ingredients (even for my fragrances,) "Good for you because" goes over the benefits of each ingredient, and then there's usually a "more info/read more/DIY" section that will have links to relevant blog posts regarding that product.
Just click on the pink bar to open that section and see the treasure trove of information inside.
This one even has a video!
⭐️ And don't forget to read the reviews! ⭐️
Sure, I can write a snazzy description, a rambling blog post, and rave about my own products on instagram, but if you need even more information, look at what other people are saying!
And if you have something to add, feel free to post a review by clicking on "write a review" and filling out the form.
One last thing before I move on to the mobile app. The FAQs page!
Click on "FAQs" in the left menu, under "visit," for all kinds of useful answers to the questions that people have been asking me since the beginning.
So, unfortunately, the app is for iPhone only at this time, but I hear the android version is coming soon so stay tuned!
If you're on an iPhone, this is a much more streamlined way to shop and search for products, (note that the search bar is right at the top of the home screen!) however, there are a few things that you can do on the website that you can't do on the app.
- checking your rewards points balance
You can use any of the coupon codes that you receive in the app, but you can't see your points tally - that can only be done on the website.
- ordering recurring subscription products and managing recurring orders
Website only as it requires a separate payment gateway at checkout to save your credit card information for your future orders. You can, however, order a single beauty box on the app.
- adding notes/comments to your orders
There are a few products where you have several options that I can't list in the product variants so I ask that you leave a note with your order. You can't do this in the app, but you can always order it and send me a separate email afterwards in lieu of a note!
- seeing/posting product reviews
I really hope they add this feature at some point. That'd be awesome.
- clicking on links in the product description
I often link to related products or blog posts in the product description, but they don't work in the app.
If you just want to enjoy browsing/shopping my collection on my phone, definitely use the app. If you're doing a lot of research, want to place/manage subscription orders, and are trying to earn all of the coupons in my rewards program, you'll need to navigate to the browser on your phone or break out your good old fashioned computer.
Oh, but there's one really great reason to download my app. You'll get access to my app-exclusive discount every month! It's my gift to you for carrying my store around in your pocket and putting up with my push notifications. 🙂
Don't worry if you don't have an iPhone - I share the discount with everyone during the last week of every month.
I don't put my handmade products on sale very often (please don't ask me when they're going on sale that's the worst) but I do encourage you to take advantage of my special offers so that you can get everything you want and need!

Now, last but not least, my real-life store!
This is (obviously) the funnest way to shop my products because you get to see/touch/smell/try everything on. It's my happy place.
I also love being able to offer in-store DIY refills on all of my liquid (skin + hair care) products, in addition to the dry refills in pouches that are also offered online. ♻️
Everything that's on the website and app is offered in the shop with the exception of retired fragrances, made to order solid perfumes, and the perfume junkie club scents. (These limited edition runs are sometimes available in store, but not stocked on a regular basis.)
There are a couple of items that have a lot of different variants (like serum singles and single note perfumes) that I may not always have stocked. Or, I guess it's possible that I could run out of something right before you get here... So if you want to make absolutely sure that what you want is stocked when you come in, you can send me an email to double check, or, better yet - order it online and select store pickup at checkout!
(Note: please don't select this option to get free shipping for items under $10 if you don't live here. I delete those orders.) 🙅♀️
This way you KNOW you'll be going home with it, and when you come in to pick it up, you can browse all of the other things you've been wanting to check out, AND, you get to take home the free sample of your choice for saving me the shipping.
(Annnnnd did I mention that I always keep a freebie bowl full of goodies at the register?)
Our staff (I share them with Siempre Viva Clothing, which is the clothing store that my shop is located within,) is super sweet and you can totally ask them for help. If for any reason they don't know the answer (although they are very knowledgeable so don't hesitate to ask!) they will ask me for the answer to your question directly.
You can also pull out your phone to read more about the products on my website while you're in the shop... why not?! Or, you can save your shopping cart/wishlist online and then pull it up when you come in so you don't forget anything.
I'm in the shop every Friday afternoon from 4-6 to hang out and answer questions. If you're not in OKC you can play along with my Q + A session in my Instagram stories!
If you can't make it on Fridays, or just want a more personalized shopping experience, I do offer private shopping appointments/skincare/fragrance consultations scheduled at your convenience. The link to purchase a 30 minute in-store session with me is here:
Private Shopping Appointment with Stefanie
If you're not local but need extra help outside of a quick, simple question, I offer email consultations too! It's like a private shopping appointment, but over the internet.
Book an Email Consultation with Stefanie
I get so many emails and so many questions to answer in a day that this is the best way to A) get my attention and B) get super detailed/personalized advice.
Although if you're still reading this, I'm pretty sure you now have all of the information you need to make an informed purchase, and I hope that this blog post has made it a little bit easier to find what you're looking for!
Have fun shopping at Twinkle Apothecary, and let me know if there's anything else I can do for ya!
